LG Energy Solution Wrocław has donated equipment to the Development and Activity Center for Children and Youth BOROMEO in Wrocław. The equipment provided by the company will enhance the daily comfort of school-age youth, the residents of the Center.
The Children and Youth Activity Center at the parish of St. Charles Borromeo in Wrocław provides development and care for children and youth during their free time from school activities. The Center’s activities are aimed at children in primary school (ages 6-16), and participation in the Center is free.
"Today, we donated a refrigerator, dishwasher, and a set of 3 laptops to the Wrocław Center. Thanks to the organized support, LG Energy Solution Wrocław aims to contribute to improving the learning conditions for the children under the Center's care. The donated equipment will not only facilitate the further education of children and youth but also improve their daily learning conditions. The young people are the future; our strategy is based on the motto 'we charge the future,' and through such actions, we strive to help this future become better. We are also delighted that we could help locally and support such an important urban initiative."
“Our afternoon activities have a remedial character; we help with homework, study together for exams. Our scope is broad – we teach all school subjects. Our volunteer, Julia, comes to help with English, and on Tuesdays, we conduct art classes,” said Mrs. Natalia Nahajowska, Director of the Children and Youth Activity Center at the parish of St. Charles Borromeo in Wrocław. “During winter holidays and summer vacations, the Center organizes daily attractions for children, such as trips to cinemas, museums, or culinary workshops,” added Nahajowska.
The residents of the Development and Activity Center for Children and Youth BOROMEO are children from families facing difficult situations.
“Children come to our Center, usually referred by the school counselor, to level up in their studies and receive support. We have about 12 children under our care daily. They can have a warm meal with us every day. Sometimes it’s their only opportunity to eat something during the day,” said the Center’s director.
The children eagerly unpacked the donated equipment, commenting on each new item. When the excitement subsided, the children, center volunteers, and staff gathered around the table.
