We have advanced to the 7th place on the “List of 500” by Rzeczpospolita

The 500 largest Polish enterprises employ a total of approximately 1.8 million people and in 2023 generated over 2.7 trillion PLN in sales revenue. In this year’s Top10 of the Rzeczpospolita’s “List of 500” ranking, we have moved up one position, taking 7th place.

We are immensely proud to announce that LG Energy Solution Wrocław has taken the 7th place in the prestigious “List of 500” ranking by the Rzeczpospolita journal. This is a recognition of the hard work and commitment of our employees to the development of the Polish economy, especially in the context of a difficult year for the entire economy.

In 2023, despite one of the worst periods of economic growth in recent years and many global challenges, with just a 1% GDP growth in the fourth quarter and a 0.2% GDP growth for the entire year, LG Energy Solution Wrocław demonstrated remarkable resilience and dynamism. The cumulative revenues of the 500 companies featured in the ranking have been improved by 12% compared to last year’s ranking. “Considering that it was a difficult year for the entire economy, the performance of the enterprises deserves recognition,” writes Piotr Mazurkiewicz in the summary of this year’s 26th edition of the “List of 500” ranking in the Rzeczpospolita journal.

Our company is part of the group of the 500 largest Polish enterprises, which together employ about 1.8 million people and in 2023 generated over 2.7 trillion PLN in revenues. This shows the important role we play in the market.

The “List of 500” by Rzeczpospolita is a ranking of the largest Polish companies by revenue. It was first published in 1999, with Polish Electric Power Networks at the top. To be listed, a company must currently generate a minimum of 687.9 million PLN in revenue. In 2023, Orlen achieved record revenues of 372.8 billion PLN, nearly four times more than the second-ranked Jeronimo Martins Polska, owner of the Biedronka chain. The List of 500 also includes the Eagles awards for industry leaders, and this year, for the first time, the Quarter-Century Eagle was awarded. Among the leading companies are also PGE, PZU, Totalizator Sportowy, Enea, Tauron Polska Energia, Lidl Polska, and PKO BP.

The companies in the ranking employ nearly 1.8 million people, with the most in retail trade (324.7 thousand), as well as in the financial and IT sectors (over 220 thousand) and transport (nearly 200 thousand). The next edition of the ranking is expected to bring better results, which is the effect of an improving economy and rising consumer and entrepreneur optimism indices. The entrepreneur optimism index currently stands at 58.8 points, which is a significant increase since September 2023. The decrease in inflation, stable monetary policy, and change of government are the main reasons for this increase. However, a decrease in the index is expected in the next quarter, especially in the agricultural and transport sectors, mainly due to strikes and dissatisfaction with the situation in agriculture.

We believe that our achievements are a motivation for others and proof that strategic investments and innovation can lead to growth even in the most challenging times. We thank all our employees, partners, and customers for their contribution to our success.
