Opening of the Rescue and Firefighting Centre

Ensuring the highest level of safety for the production plant, employees and neighbouring residents is our priority. For this reason we have opened a Rescue and Fire Fighting Centre on the premises of the approximately 100 ha investment in Biskupice Podgórne.

During each shift, the safety of the Company is supervised around the clock by 8 firefighters: 2 on duty and 6 ready to undertake rescue and firefighting actions. Thanks to several hundred cameras they have a view of the production areas and also supervise the fire alarm system which consists of over 50 thousand fire detection devices.

Thanks to their knowledge of the area, firefighters can be on the scene within 3 minutes, intervening in case of fires, employee collapses or even accidents on the roads of the industrial park.

Since the investment in Biskupice Podgórne began in 2016, our Company has become the world’s leading EV battery manufacturer. I am all the more pleased that thanks to the operation of the Rescue and Fire Fighting Centre we will be able to even better protect the safety and precious lives of our team members, as well as prevent all potentially dangerous situations – Sukwon Choi, CEO of LG Energy Solution Wrocław comments.
