New President of LG Energy Solution Wrocław

Jangha Lee will lead the development of a leading European manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries for electric cars. Main goals: expansion of the technology park and achieving emissions neutrality.

LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, Europe’s largest manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries for electric cars and one of the largest employers, has a new President. Since the beginning of July this year in charge of the company is Jangha Lee. The changes in the management board are expected i.e. to ensure the company’s further stable development through the expansion of its production facility, which will in turn strengthen its market leadership position.

Ambitious company’s objectives

Jangha Lee, the new President of LG Energy Solution Wroclaw, until now was responsible for the development of one of the company’s most strategic divisions – Electrode. Jangha Lee has been associated with LG Group since 1994.

I am honored to be the person entrusted with leading one of the world’s most important companies in the automotive industry. It is certainly a huge challenge, but I am convinced that with the LG Energy Solution Wroclaw team we will strengthen our market position and relationships with contractors. Along with the dynamic development of the production plant, we will offer more attractive workplaces. We have been shaping them for years, focusing on team development and providing a rich benefits package. I believe we will achieve our goals and our company will grow in line with the vision of “We CHARGE toward a better future -Jangha Lee said.

The implementation of LG Energy Solution Wroclaw’s further development strategy is one of the new challenges. The first objective is to expand the technological park – by the end of 2025 the company will increase production capacity from 70 GWh to 115 GWh. Under Jangha Lee’s leadership, the company will strive to be an increasingly environmentally friendly company: concern for the climate and fulfilling social responsibilities are priorities for all actions. Already 100 percent of energy at the manufacturing plant comes from RES, whereas by 2050 LG Energy Solution Group aims to achieve carbon neutrality.
