– Any help is very important to us, as the needs are overwhelming. Each time we are faced with the dilemma of who to give the received gifts to first, and who still has to wait. The flood ended for many people about two weeks ago, as the water subsided. But we are still living this tragedy. Winter is coming, we get more news about buildings that are unusable, families need to be moved somewhere safe. I think that not days, not months, but years will be needed to restore Klodzko to its pre-flood condition. We thank For your help and welcome to Klodzko! – Sebastian Nowak, Deputy Mayor of Kłodzko, said at the event.
The handover of in-kind aid took place at the community warehouse for donations to flood victims in Bogushin. The meeting was also attended by representatives of local institutions that will directly benefit from the aid.
– The LG Group, which has its production facilities in the Special Economic Zone in Kobierzyce, has for years been involved in activities for the benefit of local communities, and our mission is to build a better future. Today’s initiative is further proof that social responsibility is an important part of LG Group companies’ activities – summarized the spokeswoman of LG Energy Solution Wrocław, Klaudia Piątek. – None of us could remain indifferent to the drama that unfolded in September in Kotlina Kłodzka. After all, many people from the flood-affected areas work at our LG plant in Biskupice Podgórne. In this way, we wanted to express our solidarity, but above all to help the residents of Klodzko Land. We hope that the donated gifts will facilitate daily life and contribute to a faster return to normality. We believe that together we will be able to overcome all difficulties.
Thanks to the commitment of LG Group management and employees, as well as cooperation with local authorities, it was possible to organize quick and effective aid that will directly support people and institutions affected by the disaster. The relief campaign is a joint venture of LG’s constituent companies: LG Electonics, LG Chem, LG Innotek and LG Energy Solution Wroclaw. The LG Group announces that this is not the last relief action aimed at the region’s residents, and support will continue as further needs arise.
