LG Energy Solution is currently implementing the 4th edition of the global “Better Leaders” ambassador program – an initiative aimed at students from around the world who are passionate about energy, sustainable development, and future technologies. Participants of this year’s edition visited our manufacturing plant near Wrocław.
What is the Better Leaders program?
“Better Leaders” is a global ambassador program addressed to students. Its goal is to raise awareness about the role of batteries and to share the vision and management philosophy of the LG Energy Solution brand. Launched in 2022, the program brings together students from Korea, the United States, China, Europe, and other regions of the world. The name of the program reflects both LG Energy Solution’s position as an industry leader in EV batteries and the desire to support the next generation of creative, conscious leaders. Participants have the chance to create their own content and engage in diverse activities related to electromobility, sustainable energy, ESG, or technological innovations.
2025 edition: new opportunities for students
The current, fourth edition of the program offers a unique opportunity for students – both from Poland and abroad – to gain invaluable experience in an international environment. Recruitment for this edition lasted from February 24 to March 16, 2025, and the program is scheduled from May to November 2025.
Eligible participants include undergraduate and graduate students, students on academic leave, and international exchange participants residing abroad or in South Korea. The requirements include a readiness to take part in the opening and closing ceremonies, residing in the area of application during the program period, and participating in local study visits to LG Energy Solution plants.
At the end of July, 7 participants of the 4th edition and 5 mentors from the 2nd and 3rd edition visited the over 100-hectare LG Energy Solution Wrocław technology park – one of the most advanced manufacturing facilities in Europe. Students attended lectures on the company’s operations in Poland, organizational culture and cultural differences, and safety. They also toured one of the brand’s most innovative production lines and took part in a meeting with engineers responsible for the battery manufacturing process for electric vehicles.
Practical knowledge and real-world experience
The program includes:
- Tasks developing practical skills,
- Participation in LG Energy Solution brand events, both online and offline,
- Mentoring with company employees and support from alumni of previous editions,
- The opportunity to see state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities,
- Financial support and awards for the most engaged participants
The initiative’s impact on the future
The “Better Leaders” program is not only about individual development for participants but also an investment in the future of the industry and the LG Energy Solution brand. The program shows how academic knowledge translates into real-life innovations, and five graduates from previous editions have already joined LG Energy Solution’s production and R&D departments in the United States and South Korea.
“Better Leaders is a program that connects with future customers by bringing together global talent to share ideas on energy. Students are inspired by seeing our cutting-edge facilities and how their studies apply in real life. Five alumni have joined production and R&D roles in the U.S. and Korea, thriving in their positions. We’ll keep boosting our recruitment branding to enhance our brand and attract top talent.”
