LG Energy Solution Wrocław – the producer of batteries for electric cars – supported Wrocław institutions in the fight against coronavirus. The company operating in Biskupice Podgórne donated to the Cape of Hope and the Wrocław Centre for Care and Education personal protective equipment as well as equipment helpful in everyday operations.
The Cape of Hope – currently operating at the University Clinical Hospital in Wrocław – is the largest and most modern centre for children with cancer and haematopoietic disorders in Poland. However, similar to other medical facilities in our country, it has growing needs due to the coronavirus epidemic. These include medical masks and disinfectants. In this aspect – through the Foundation ” To the Rescue of Children with Cancer Disease” – the centre received help from LG Energy Solution Wroclaw. The company from Wrocław donated a total of 3.5 thousand masks and 250 packages of specialist wipes for disinfection.
Supporting the society, especially on the regional level, is one of the priorities of our company. The Wrocław Care and Education Centre is the largest care and educational facility in Wrocław. Currently there are about 200 children in the Centre, who spend their childhood and adolescence together. LG Energy Solution Wrocław supported the centre in Lekcyjna Street with household appliances (washing machines and a fridge-freezer) and 780 litres of disinfectants.
This is the first time, when the company from Wrocław helped Lower Silesian centres in the fight against COVID-19. In October this year LG donated over 7,000 personal protective equipment to the Care and Treatment Centre for Children in Wierzbice, and in March, April and May – 40,000 protective masks, 20,000 coronavirus tests and 1,000 protective clothes for health care. The total value of this year’s aid provided by LG Energy Solution Wrocław is over PLN 700,000.
