Lectures conducted by specialists, scientific internships for students and co-creation of curricula – these are the main points of the cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and LG Energy Solution Wrocław.
The document on this matter was signed by Prof. Dariusz Łydżba, Vice-rector for cooperation, Prof. Waldemar Rebizant, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Piotr Blachura, board representative and HR Director of LG Energy Solution Wrocław.
Specialists from LG Energy Solution Wrocław will support students’ education in electromobility, conducting lectures on topics such as: introduction to electromobility, electricity storage techniques and electric vehicle charging systems. Selected laboratory exercises will be carried out at the company’s headquarters.
– The agreement also provides for laboratory support through the purchase of eMobilityLAB equipment for students, excursions (the so-called line tours) in the LG Energy Solution Wrocław factory and awards for the best thesis on e-mobility for graduates of our faculty,” says Mateusz Dybkowski, PhD, professor of the university, Vice Dean for Research and Development at W5.
As part of the agreement, students of electromobility will be able to count on assistance in completing internships at the company. In the future, this will also apply to the implementation of internships. According to the agreement, the curriculum of the course will be jointly modified. There are also plans to jointly create a plan and programme for second-cycle studies.
– We set trends in electromobility, we have state-of-the-art technologies and we are an attractive partner. We are happy with the cooperation with Politechnika Wroclawska, because we will help to train qualified staff and improve skills of specialists who will want to tie their future in the automotive industry – says Piotr Blachura, HR Director at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw.
The agreement was signed for five years. The agreement is one of the elements of a wider cooperation between the university and LG Energy Solution Wrocław. The framework agreement in this matter was signed in November 2021, and the willingness to cooperate with the company was also declared by the Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems and the Faculty of Chemistry.
