LG Energy Solution Wrocław at the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Faculty of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at Wrocław University of Technology

Wrocław, October 3, 2025 – 80 years is a time of many transformations – not only political, but also industrial. What seemed impossible decades ago is now part of our everyday lives. For us, one such example is electric cars, which are conquering the market and becoming an integral part of modern mobility.

80 years also marks the anniversary of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Wrocław University of Technology, which LG Energy Solution Wrocław participated in celebrating last Friday.

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering, together with the entire University of Technology, has made history – not only in the region, but also throughout the country. I would like to thank everyone and congratulate them – not only as rector, but also as a citizen of this country, which benefits from how modern Poland is today, thanks in part to the work of engineers educated at our university. They went out into the world and achieved success.

During the event, the university rector summarized the history of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, of which our company is a part—not only through a strong partnership, but also thanks to the co-creation of the Electromobility Laboratory—a place that combines academic potential with industrial innovation.

First of all, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to participate in this unique anniversary. 80 years is a tremendous achievement. On this occasion, we would like to offer you our warmest congratulations and express our appreciation for your impressive scientific, educational, and technological achievements, which have been shaping the face of Polish and European power engineering for decades. As LG Energy Solution Wrocław, we are honored to work with you.

Friday’s celebration at the University of Technology was also an opportunity to welcome the youngest graduates of the Faculty, meet those who left the university many years ago, and welcome students who are just beginning their academic journey into the community.

“The silent hero of tomorrow's energy”

In addition to congratulating the most outstanding representatives of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Friday’s event was also an opportunity to present the company to students and guests visiting the Faculty of Electrical Engineering on that day. At our stand, visitors could learn about internship opportunities and find out what specialists are currently sought after to work at the factory.

The gala was preceded by expert panels of people from the business and academic worlds. Kamila Gościniak-Wronkowska spoke on behalf of LG Energy Solution Wrocław with a presentation entitled “Technical cleanliness in the automotive industry. The silent hero of tomorrow’s energy.”

Technical cleanliness is extremely important for quality. Even a shoe print or the smallest particle can cause the final product to fail to meet the expected requirements. What does this mean? Every employee is responsible for the quality of our product and for ensuring that it is safe to drive an electric car. Awareness of the importance of cleanliness in industry is growing, and we emphasize the importance of this topic.

We are delighted to have recently been part of the celebrations marking two anniversaries – 80 years of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and 80 years of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. We wish both institutions many joint projects in the decades to come.
