Completion of the #ChargeTheFuture2 internship program at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw

On September 30, 2024, the closing ceremony of the second edition of the #ChargeTheFuture internship program took place. This year’s edition was attended by 38 interns, who for two and a half months gained their first work experience under the guidance of experienced LG Energy Solution Wroclaw employees. Thus, it was an opportunity for them to pass their student internships.

– We hope that after the time spent at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw you already know how such a large company operates, how the work of engineers and specialists looks like on a daily basis. I also believe that in addition to the technical aspects, you have seen how people from different countries and cultures work together. May this internship be the beginning of your successful career – said Piotr Blachura, HR Director, to the interns.

The program offered interns work in selected areas of the plant, participation in specialized training courses culminating in the receipt of a certificate, and the opportunity to see what the production process of lithium-ion batteries looks like. This allowed the students to learn the specifics of the operation of one of the largest manufacturing plants in Poland and Europe.

This internship was a reality check of the theory we learn in college. We didn’t realize how much information we would need and how often we would use it – recounted Hania, an intern at Line Improvement.

– I was surprised at how many nice people work here who were committed to training me. They were always willing to explain to me a process I wasn’t sure about – confessed Magda, an intern in the production department.

Looking for the best

One of the most interesting elements of the internship program was the “Best Improvement” competition – participants were tasked with proposing any improvement to work in selected departments. The winner of the contest, Michal Tkaczyk, was awarded for his innovative design of a visual inspection indicator.

My project was very simple, but useful. I came up with the idea one day, focusing on what could be improved. I even made a suitable model, which could be a proposal for a solution, even before the formal announcement of the competition – emphasized Michael, the awarded intern.

The #ChargeTheFuture internship program is part of LG Energy Solution Wrocław’s efforts to support young talent and train future engineers and specialists who will contribute to the development of the electromobility industry in Poland.

We wish all interns that, when they take their next steps, they invest their time in a place that will bring them development, as well as professional success and fulfillment.
