LG Energy Solution has completed the fifth edition of its global ambassador program “Better Leaders” – an initiative aimed at students from around the world who are passionate about energy, innovation, ESG, and the technologies of the future. In this year’s edition, our production plant near Wrocław was visited by 6 students and 4 mentors from previous editions of the program.
What is the Better Leaders program?
“Better Leaders” is a global ambassador program aimed at students. Its goal is to raise awareness of the role of batteries and to share LG Energy Solution’s vision and management philosophy. The program was launched in 2022 and brings together students from Korea, the United States, China, Europe, and other regions of the world.
What was new in this edition?
The fifth edition of the program stood out from previous ones by introducing – for the first time – AI literacy training. By incorporating AI tools into the content-creation process, participants were able to significantly improve the quality of the posts and materials they produced.
Who are the participants?
Among the 6 students were individuals from prestigious universities across North America, Europe, and Asia. Their academic backgrounds spanned a wide range of fields – from engineering disciplines such as advanced materials science, mechanical engineering, and battery engineering, to the humanities and social sciences, including international finance and linguistics.
The program's global route
In addition to their visit to LG Energy Solution Wrocław, participants explored the company’s global footprint, touring the headquarters and the LG Energy Solution Ochang Energy Plant in South Korea, as well as the plant in Nanjing, China. Students also had the opportunity to see the construction of the upcoming plant in Arizona, USA, which is scheduled to open next year.
“The battery industry is defined by economies of scale, which is why direct, hands-on exposure to a production plant is invaluable. Giving students firsthand insight into the manufacturing process – and encouraging them to share that experience through their own content, for example on social media – helps us organically build brand awareness across peer networks. For our company, it's also an effective way to connect with the next generation of talent."

Participants' impressions after visiting our plant in Wrocław
Many students were thrilled to see concepts they knew from textbooks come to life and were genuinely impressed by the scale of the Wrocław plant. Several also noted that the world-class employee amenities and working environment at LG Energy Solution Wrocław strongly inspired them to consider a career at our company.
“The Better Leaders program allows us to host exceptionally talented students from around the world every year and show them how our expertise translates into real solutions for the battery industry – and helps shape that industry in Europe. We're delighted that we were able to show the students our technology park near Wrocław, and we're pleased that it sparked our ambassadors' interest. All that remains is to wish every participant in the program good luck – and to look forward to their future applications to our plants."
